In November over 2,700 individuals joined the .COmmunity as part of Startup Weekend and the annual Global Startup Battle (GSB) competition. If you’ve been following the .CO social channels, you know that .CO had it’s own “track” in the competition, the .CO Innovators Track. Startup Weekend teams building on a .CO domain could compete for a paid trip to San Francisco to demo at Jason Calacanis’ Launch Festival among other prizes.
Global Startup Battle is a competition, which follows the Startup Weekend events that occur during Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW.co). Teams submit pitch videos to compete in any of the 5 tracks for some pretty amazing prizes.
Our Innovators Track received over 230 entries from around the world which were judged by Dave McClure of 500 Startups, Juan Calle , founder of .CO Internet and CEO of Pop.co, and Lori Anne Wardi, Vice President at Neustar Inc.
We’re excited to announce the winner of the .CO Innovators track – http://www.Vellovent.co. Vello Vent – a smart air vent –making your home more comfortable and energy efficient. Vello will be joining us in San Francisco at Launch Festival next February Below is Vello Vent’s video submission that put them in first place.
